山林霸主
这个条目会介绍山林霸主下凡的原理。
下凡
如果 'AnimalMaster_Appearance' 这个 flag 是 true，山林霸主就会出现。这个 flag 是下面这个有限状态自动机控制的。
- 如果月相是 5 （眉月）而且林克不在 map area 64 （萨托利山区域），游戏会生成一个整数 "appearance hour"，这个数字会随机落在 [0 .. 22] 区间.
- 如果时钟上的时等于 appearance hour，那游戏会把 AnimalMaster_Appearance 设成 true，然后山林霸主就会出现。如果你在山林霸主出现前就踏入萨托利山周边区域的话，appearance hour 会被作废，然后自动机回到状态 1。
- 一个小时后，游戏会纪录今天星期几。
- 过了（游戏内的）二十四小时或是日期差了两天之后，游戏会把 AnimalMaster_Appearance 设成 false，山林霸主就会消失。
注意到在上述过程中，只有 appearance hour （几点出现）是随机的，正常情况下山林霸主一定会在眉月之后出现（如果你一直不靠近圣山的话）。
注意二：只要你进入神庙里或读档，AnimalMaster_Appearance 都会被强制设为 false，代表山林霸主会因此消失。

The Lord of the Mountain requires 40 "calm down" presses to be (temporarily) tamed[1]. 40 is the highest number of presses among all horses and horse-like animals.
